The fair ground rules

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Unmarkify ("we", "our", "us"). They govern your access to and use of unmarkify.com and the related tools and services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using Unmarkify you represent that you meet this requirement and that your use will comply with all applicable laws.

Unmarkify provides AI-assisted tools to remove watermarks and clean exports from files such as Gemini-generated images, NotebookLM exports, PDFs, presentations, and other supported media.

We may add, change, or remove features at any time without prior notice. We are not affiliated with Google, Gemini, or NotebookLM, and references to those names describe compatibility only.

Most tools work without an account. If we offer optional accounts in the future, you agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and accept responsibility for activity under your account.

You may use the Service for lawful purposes only. You agree to:

• Only upload files you own or have explicit permission to modify.
• Comply with applicable laws, including copyright and intellectual property laws.
• Respect the integrity and availability of the Service for other users.

You must not use the Service to:

• Process content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other rights you do not hold.
• Upload illegal content, including content that exploits or endangers minors.
• Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code through the Service.
• Bypass security, rate limits, or attempt to reverse-engineer the Service.
• Resell, white-label, or sublicense the Service without our written permission.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated systems beyond what is permitted by our published interfaces.

The Service, including its software, design, logos, and branding, is owned by Unmarkify and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose under these Terms.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service or the underlying software without our written permission.

You retain all rights to the files and content you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a temporary, limited license to process your files solely to deliver the requested output (for example, a cleaned image or PDF).

We do not claim ownership of your content, do not use your files to train AI models, and delete uploaded files automatically after processing in line with our Privacy Policy.

The core tools are free to use today. We may introduce paid plans, premium features, or usage limits in the future. Any fees, billing terms, and refund policy will be presented clearly before you subscribe or pay.

The Service may rely on third-party providers for hosting, analytics, email delivery, and similar functions. Those providers operate under their own terms. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party site or service that links to or from Unmarkify.

Important legal notice

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that the cleaning output will be perfect for every file. Output quality depends on the source file and on AI processing that may produce imperfect results.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unmarkify and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or (b) USD 50.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Unmarkify and its team from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any law.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and governing law) will continue to apply after termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Unmarkify is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country applies.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent version. If the changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
